Library - Day A
September 13 - Picture Day
Please note...there may be differences in topics, content, assignments, and assessments on a daily basis between my homeroom and Mr. Bleiler's homeroom. This would be due to one class being ahead/behind the other.
At this time, students have been re-introduced to Google Classroom (GC).
They have been reacquainted with the Spartan R's (expected behaviors), as well as classroom expectations and procedures.
Daily Message and IDR - Components of ELA completed during the transition into class. The daily message contains an SEL/Mindfulness concept while the IDR (Independent Daily Review) is a spiral review of language arts concepts.
Reading - Pearson Reading Street curriculum materials, bi-weekly stories with vocabulary and reading strategies.
Grammar - in-class lessons with practice and review materials/assignments posted in GC.
Writing - Varied modes of writing (informational, descriptive, opinion, narrative), some student selected topics to a prompt, responding the literature (TDA - text Dependent Analysis), analytical scoring based on a rubric. Can be scored on some or all of the traits (ideas, organization, word choice, sentence fluency, voice, and conventions).
