Recorder Karate Belts

Throughout the school year, students will learn, practice and apply the skills of reading musical notation through playing the recorder. While learning this instrument, students will develop fine-motor skills, breath control and the ability to play and perform melodies. As students abilities develop, they are given the challenges provided to earn each belt in our recorder Karate packet. Assignments are posted on each students SeeSaw account and students are responsible for practicing and recording their assignment at home. Each assignment has new notes and playing techniques that must be learned and mastered in order to continue to the next belt color.
