Students at Hopewell are able to take lessons on a string instrument during their Third Grade Year. During these small group instruction lessons, students are able to develop the skills required to practice and perform various pieces on the Violin, Viola or Cello. Starting in spring, all string students have the opportunity to rehearse as a full orchestra prior to the start of the school day. The string students conclude their year with a performance as an orchestra during their Spring Concert. If you are a second grader interested in signing up for a string instrument over the summer, please contact Mr. Becker at beckerb@slsd.org.
