Drugs + Alcohol

Drugs + Alcohol are not tolerated and you will be asked to leave site if found to be under the influence.

Communication devices

Headphones are not permitted on site during event build. If you need to use a phone or radio, make sure you are in safe place. Remain stationary while using the phone or radio. Only Course positions should require a radio. You MUST return the radio to your Zone Leader or Volunteer Coordinator. 

Housekeeping

Take pride in the volunteer area and any of your other work spaces. Clean up spills, pick up your own trash and keep your bags/ belongings stored safely and organized.

Operating equipment & working at height

As a volunteer, you will never be asked to operate heavy equipment or work at height, even if you are certified to do so. Head protection must be worn by all persons at all times during build unless hard hats have been called off. 

Driving on-site

All traffic must follow the traffic management plan. Obey signs separating pedestrians from vehicles and do not exceed a 15mph speed limit across site unless otherwise stated. When within 20 feet of pedestrians, slow to walking pace. DOT helmets and seatbelts must be worn at all times when riding in a UTV. 

Age requirements

Volunteers must be 18 years or older to volunteer for all pre and post event shifts. On race days, volunteers ages 14-17 need be accompanied by a parent or guardian while volunteering. Volunteers must be 14 years or older in order to volunteer. No exceptions.
