After graduating from Roxbury HS, Coach Peterson continued his playing career at Kean University where he earned his degree in Health and Physical Education in 2012. On the field, he was an all conference defenseman and named captain by his peers. After leaving Kean University, Coach Peterson began his teaching career in Whippany NJ. As well as teaching, Coach Peterson spent the last 10 seasons coaching lacrosse at the High School and College level both as an assistant and head Coach. Most recently, he was named the 2021 Klank coach of the year after leading the Park Regional Team to a conference championship. The 2021-22 year brought new beginnings as Coach Peterson was hired by the Sparta school district to teach and coach at Sparta High School. He couldn't be more excited to be a Spartan going into his second year as Head Coach.

Coach Bushey grew up playing Sparta youth lacrosse. He also played Sparta High School lacrosse as a 4-year varsity midfielder/attackman. Jack continued his academic and athletic career at Kean University as a member of the Kean Men's Lacrosse Team where he was a two year start and two year captain. Coach Bushey began his teaching career as a Physical Education Teacher at Sussex County Technical School before coming to Sparta High School in 2021. Coach Bushey is excited to be going into his third season coaching for a program that has given him so much!
