About Me

Who is Mrs. Bright??

I am from Jefferson Township and grew up playing on sports teams against Sparta, so it is pretty exciting to be on the opposite side of the rivalry. In high school I played field hockey, girl's lacrosse, and ski racing. I was also in a variety of clubs like REBEL and Symphonic Band, and I am excited to be a part of Sparta High School's Field Hockey program for the seventh season and in my third season as the Head Coach!

I went to Castleton State College in the state of Vermont (currently Castleton University). The college is only about an hour from major ski areas like Killington and Okemo. While attending Castleton, I was a 4 year member of both the field hockey and women's lacrosse teams. I am also a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Education Honor Society. I graduated from Castleton with a Bachelor's degree in Literature with a concentration in World Literature and Licensure in Secondary Education. I have also completed a Master's Degree program on Curriculum & Instruction through Marygrove College in August 2016.

I enjoy reading (obviously) and getting out of the house to go hiking, swimming, and do other various activities. I also have two Sphynx cats named Freyja and Socrates, so I frequently play with them. I also have aspirations to one day publish my own work of fiction, if I can actually think of something write about. I am, however, still active in the athletic community and I am excited to see how Sparta's sports team do this year; not to mention the various concerts and plays our students work so hard to perform!
