Technology Use Expectations
Mrs. Viggiano
The use of a Chromebook is an essential tool in our classroom. We use it to word process, to conduct research, to provide constructive feedback, to submit work, to email (through school email), to publish, and for various other important tools. A common understanding of the responsibilities and expectations for student use is as follows:
Students are to come to each class with a charged, usable school issued computer.
Students are to use their computers only for the task at hand.
Recording and photographing for non-instructional purposes is not allowed.
If a student or a parent needs to contact the teacher, the individual may email through the school’s email. Please understand that responses will take place during school hours.
Feedback or comments are to be constructive, meaningful, and respectful.
Cell phones: students and parents are asked to refrain from cell phone communication during class time. Phones are expected to be off and away during class in order to maximize student ability to focus on learning. If a student needs to contact his or her parent, a phone is available in the main office.

The main "hub" for our class is through Google Classroom. Each day the agenda is posted and due dates for assignments are made clear.
The main stream will list the agenda while the Classwork tab will be used for hosting digital assignments.
Grades for assignments are posted on Genesis (aka The Portal) within a timely fashion.
