School counselors help students succeed by implementing, providing, and supporting programming that connect, engage, and promote skills needed to excel in and outside of the classroom in the domains of academics, career, and social/emotional development.  Delivery of services are data driven, student centered, and designed to support all students. Common direct services include Individual Counseling, Small Groups, Achievement Support, and Core Curriculum Delivery.

Core Curriculum Delivery is one of the largest pieces at the elementary level many refer to as classroom lessons/visits. At River Ridge, lessons will begin in September and continue throughout the year.  School counselors deliver a variety of lesson on social-emotional topics in a developmentally appropriate way to students.  The goal is to provide students with a safe space to learn, practice, and model skills with peers.
