Seniors

Byrnes Seniors, we need your Post-Secondary Plans!

It's a requirement to fill out this form regardless of your FUTURE PLANS!

(If you are attending college, where do you want your FINAL high transcript sent?) If you are going to a Bridge program, we only need to send it to the Two-Year Program. Clemson, USC, and the College of Charleston do not need it.

Even if you do not plan to attend college, WE STILL NEED TO KNOW YOUR PLANS REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU GO TO WORK, THE ARMY, OR COLLEGE. Again, every senior must fill this out!

For college-bound students, it's not just a suggestion but a requirement to create a Parchment account and state where you want your FINAL high transcript sent. Your college acceptance and state scholarships are contingent on this.

Fill out the Google Form and then click on the link to Parchment to request your transcript.

(Therefore, it's crucial to create a Parchment Account and Place an order that says hold for grades).

Click on the link below to complete your Parchment account if you still need to do so!!

Dear senior students and parents,

You are invited to our Annual FAFSA workshop on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Byrnes High will host the FAFSA Workshop in our cafeteria at 6:00 PM. Come hear from presenter Bobby Holcombe of USC Union, where you can learn about the Federal and State financial aid changes and how to complete the 2024-2025 Financial Aid Form for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is required by all schools (trade, technical, colleges, and universities) of higher education to be considered for: Grants, College Work-Study, Lottery Tuition Assistance Programs, Direct Loans, and Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students.

We look forward to seeing you at this great event for our college-bound seniors!

The SC Commission on Higher Education, has developed a “Palmetto Calculator” to help students understand the cost of attending some of SC public colleges or universities. Students can enter their FAFSA “Estimated Family Contribution” as well as other scholarships, loans, etc. to help determine cost. Visit the Palmetto Calculator for more information.

Don’t see the college you want to attend on the “Palmetto Calculator”? Every college has a “net price calculator” so visit the financial aid page of your chosen colleges/universities website for more information.
