Use your personal email for everything related to college!
Start by pulling up this survey.
There is a list of college links
Do this at the end of your session AFTER you have applied to colleges.
Bring:
Driver’s license
Social security number (not the actual card)
Know whether your parents completed a 2- or 4-year college
List of any accomplishments or awards you’ve received
Think about what major you will choose
Start on the college website or the Common App (participating colleges)
The Common App (commonapp.org) allows you to apply to several colleges at once! Fees still apply unless the college has a waiver.
Start each application as a freshman or first-year applicant
(do not fill out Transfer).

Code usually entered near the end of the application.
Free or reduced lunch students also might be able to get college app fees waived. Ask your counselor!
Have you been using your personal email?
Create a Parchment account or fill out the Transcript Form (must use your Spart1 email to complete) to send your transcript to any colleges you applied to.
Have test scores sent from the testing company (if required): SAT.org or ACT.org, or see your counselor.
Ask your parents to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting October 1, 2025.
Monitor your personal email and home mailbox for communication from the college. They send almost everything by email!
