  1. Find a spot to sit outside. Draw a picture of 4 things you hear making music or musical sounds. Hopefully the weather warms up!

May4-May 8

  1. Play the freeze dance game! Put on some music and move/dance. Stop the music and everyone has to freeze until the music starts again. Take turns being the one starting and stopping the music.

  3. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo this week! It's a great time to learn about Mexican music! Let's make some instruments heard in Mexican music:

April 27-May 1

  1. Create your own kitchen band (with parent permission of course)! Experiment with some pots, pans, or other materials found in your kitchen. Play along to some music.

  3. April is Celebrate Jazz Month!

April 14-April 17 **Happy Easter!**

  1. Create your own instrument! If you have a leftover plastic Easter egg, make an egg shaker! Can you figure out what could go inside to make it shake?

  2. Vocal Exploration: throw a ball or paper airplane up and down in the air and follow it with your voice (whooooo).

  3. April is Celebrate Jazz Month!

    • Listen to some Jazz by Benny Goodman: Sing, Sing, Sing -->one of my favorites! What instruments do you hear? You could draw them! Or let's dance to it!

April 6-April 9

  2. Clap a pattern for a family member and see if they can echo clap it back to you. Take turns being the leader. Try adding other body percussion to your patterns (toe taps, stomp, snap, pat legs).
