Taking STEAM-based education to new heights!
Welcome to Project SpaceTEAM! Here at SpaceTEAM we aim high, as we aim to create a framework for an innovative and international STEAM-based science course. Hop on board as we develop a collaborative STEAM course between three European countries! The countdown reaches 0 in August 2019 when our students will begin to pilot the SpaceTEAM Course.
The Mission:
SpaceTEAM aims to promote transnational learning for teachers and students and excite people to work and study in STEM fields by exploring the opportunities STEAM methods, Project Based learning and technology have to offer. Our goal is also to create a new, holistic framework for teaching science, languages, programming, and other subjects.
The three participating schools, from Finland, Belgium and Spain are in the process of creating a project-based STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) course where secondary school students will examine space through a wide range of interdisciplinary activities through the means of building an actual spacecraft!
Project news: - Teacher Meeting 2 - Belgium
In March 2019 it was time for our second teacher meeting. The goal for our week in Heverlee was exciting: Us SpaceTEAM teachers were to build and launch our own High Altitude Balloon. This week would prepare us for the balloon launches we will be doing next year with our students....
