Our February Hour of Code and Digital Making will be on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Use this form to register before noon on Tuesday, February 13th.
February participants will have the following options:
Online coding tutorials - as in years past, we’ll have a website loaded with options from which students can choose. Students can work with a buddy or work independently in a supervised setting.
Digital making - This month students will be introduced to Tinkercad, a 3D design tool often used for 3D printing. Note:This isn’t a programming activity, but CAD is an applied area of computer science.
MIT App Inventor - Work through a basic coding tutorial to create an Android app. If you have an Android device, feel free to bring it. Mrs. Brass will bring a couple of Android tablets to run apps, too.
Independent projects - for students who have an ongoing coding project they’d like to work on and would like time/space with others interested in computer science. Some students have brought in Arduinos or Micro:bits to work on. Others have worked on games in StarLogo Nova.
Click Tinkercad then Sign In then Social Providers and click Google.
Note: If you've used your Google account with Tinkercad before, you may have to verify your email.
