Congratulations! You traveled the seven seas successfully!
This is our 2025 - 2026 yearbook photo for Out of The Blue! We wanna congratulate each and every one of you for another great year!
Ms. Olsen's words:
Hi guys! My name is Aadya Tadikonda! I'm the Editor - In - Chief for this year's Out Of The Blue! Sadly, this year's only. But I know I'm leaving this club in capable hands for our next editor(s). But I really love to read, write, do art and basically, all the standards for Out of The Blue. Out of the Blue always had my heart and I'm so happy I found this club in 6th grade because it gave me a place to pile my many submissions. I really love this website so much! But if I had to choose, I would choose the Fiction Tab because- I'm a writer. Shocker, huh? But this club has always occupied my Mondays... I'm not sorry about that. I hope all the time I've dedicated to this website is evident!!! Thank you!!!! Please enjoy and hope this year's edition inspires you to join! I hope to see this magazine achieving great things for the years to come... I was honored to be selected as editor-in-chief and I would LOVE to be a mentor next year.
Messages from Our Co-Editors: Aarna and Ani
Hi guys, my name is Aarna Jaggi! I just wanted to say that I'm so grateful that you are here reading this magazine! We put a lot of work into this website (I mean like MONTHS of work), so we hope you appreciate it. Anyway, a bit about me: my name is Aarna Jaggi, and I'm an 8th grader at Timothy Edwards Middle School. Unfortunately, I'm leaving very soon, but it has been a great journey for me (even though it's been full of stress, LOL). My favorite part of this website is probably the games page because it allows you guys to engage in an immersive experience! Coming in second is fiction, because it's fiction, duh! There's so many creative stories that people have poured their blood, sweat, and tears into... And in third, artwork, because you can just tell that people put in so much work based on the result. Some of the people who submitted artwork have "artist" written in their genetics!
Anyway, that's about it! Thank you, and enjoy the site!
Hi Guys! My name is Anirudh Sanakkayala, better known as Ani! I am an 8th grader at T.E.M.S, and I just wanted to say that out of all the three years I have been in this club, I have had the most fun this year. I wanted to thank you all for spending your time reading the magazine, especially if you have a lot of other commitments on your mind, whether it be sports, or homework(Sigh, of course these teachers wanna stop you from reading this by giving you homework{just kidding!}). My personal favorite part of the magazine is the games section because it's keeps the magazine a bit more fun than it already is, and it's also unique(I'm also a hardcore gamer lol). The moment I stepped into this club, I knew my life would change. I still can't believe it's my last year . . . I'll truly miss this place.
As Aarna said, we put months of work into this magazine, so we truly hope you found it to be enjoyable!
(P.S How can they have artist written in their genes when the gene alphabet is only A,T,G,C? :) )
We asked some Out of the Blue members some questions about their experience and their thoughts on how the magazine and the club is! Feel free to read their responses!
Question 1: What inspired YOU to join Out of the Blue?
Aadya Yadav said: My friends! As well as the amazing artwork that came out from the published magazine, I really wanted to be a part of this amazing group of people.
Yissa Lin said: I was inspired because I heard from many of my friends who were in it last year, saying it was lots of fun. I wanted to be able to be creative and have fun with my friends, so I decided to join.
Natalie Williams said: I was inspired to join Out of the Blue because I really enjoy writing, and I had never been in a writing club before, so I wanted to try something new!
Vedant Sudarsan said: I was inspired to join Out of The Blue because my friends told me all the things that I could do in this club. Because I heard that I was able to draw as one of the options, I immediately signed up because of how much I like to draw.
Ananya Save said: To be honest, I joined Out of the Blue because of Aadya Tadikonda. I remember she was talking about how she was hoping to be editor in chief since she'd put in so much time and dedication in the past two years. So, I thought to myself, if she's put so much hard work into this club, then it really must be something special and important to her. So, I joined it out and I'm glad I did because it's been so much fun being able to hang out with my friends while also working on my artwork.
Ani Sanakkayala said: It was firstly my sister, who was in out of the blue before I was, and then it was my passion for the magazine that made me continue for the next few years.
Mysha Husain said: As I have established in so many instances throughout my life - all aspects of ELA are fundamental to me. Indulging in classic novels, writing short stories, inscribing analysis - all have been my interests to me. Therefore, when the opportunity to further explore these topics came up in Out of the Blue, I was eager to join; however the real factor that convinced me was the community it fosters. In Out of the Blue, we collaborate, we talk, and most importantly we engage in segments of writing that can seem tedious, but become what I look forward to every week. Overall, I was inspired to join this group not just so I could further delve in what I already knew, but to grow with others like me.
Question 2: What has Out of the Blue done for YOU?
Akshara Arun said: Out of the Blue has let me use my creativity while still having fun. It will be one of my most memorable experiences.
Diya Arunprasath said: Out of the Blue inspired me to become a better writer and step outside my comfort zone and do uncomfortable things (like drawing!).
Laalasa Dongar said: Out of the Blue took away the fear of winning and losing and replaced it with the confidence of expressing, creating, and having fun overall.
Bella Valente said: Out of the Blue has inspired me to continue writing creatively and possibly pursue a future in creative writing.
Sid Suresh said: Out of the Blue has done many things for me. One major thing is that it helped grow my creativity and has helped me make new friends and stronger connections with others.
Aarna Jaggi said: Out of the Blue has done many things for me. I have gained the ability to communicate and collaborate with others. There are many pieces on the site where there's a drawing from one person and a story from another, so being able to work with each other is essential to creating corroborating works of literature like that. On top of that, I’ve also gained so many writing skills! Out of the Blue has given me the chance to work on my own writing while gaining inspiration from many other talented writers!
Question 3: In YOUR opinion, what does 'Out of the Blue' mean?
Akshita Aswin said: To me, Out of the Blue means meeting new people and having special experiences with them. It's a great club and the group of people there are very kind :)
Ayan Bangre said: In my opinion Out of the Blue means a place where everyone of any kind is accepted
Nitya Kunchala said: To me, “Out of the Blue” means something unexpected but meaningful — a surprise idea, a sudden spark of creativity, or a moment that stands out from the ordinary.
Anvi Panat said: To me Out of the Blue means a chance to escape the real world and relax myself. Like a chance to take a break from the real world.
Yeshe Tripathi said: In my opinion, Out Of The Blue is like a surprise that came out of nowhere, like “This was completely out of the blue!” This is relevant to our magazines because we are out of this world! :)
Aadya Tadikonda said: It means being a bit weird (All the best people are) and being unique and saying that you don't always have to fit in the box.
