How did your activities and research for this International schools Cyberfair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
We believe that this project fits into our district guidelines for it is our primary intent to demonstrate the mesmerizing chronicles of our city. In addition, because Muntinlupa is known for its well-rounded infrastructural developments, we decided to show a part of that aspect which at the same time, depicts the descent of resources in our city.
What information tools and technologies did you use to complete your CyberFair project?
Our team used a total of ten (10) different computer set-ups, one (1) telephone, four (4) computer softwares: Google Meet, Google Sites, Messenger and Gmail, one (1) museum and one (1) oral interview with the museum director of ‘Museo ng Muntinlupa’.
In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both online and in person?
We believe that us being chosen as representatives to demonstrate our city’s heritage is already enough for us to elicit the notions of being ambassadors. Hand in hand as we create the website, we feel honored to be the ones executing the deeds so as to showcase the stunning memoirs of Muntinlupa.
What has been or will be the impact of your project on your community?
Our project will make a difference because it will showcase the history of Muntinlupa and it will help people to learn more about our community. Our project will be able to clarify things that may confuse people in our city, such as the origin of the names of each place in Muntinlupa, fun facts that seem to be insignificant, and many more. This will change how people look at our community due to the fact that a wide array of misconceptions about our city's history are circulating.
How did your project involve other members of your community helpers or volunteers?
Our project involved the other members of our community. We had a virtual meeting with the Museum Director and her team for them to be aware of our plans and objectives. We were able to get valuable insights from them. They provided us with credible information and even gave permission to use available data and photos from their official social media account in doing our research. These people had shown their full support in this project.
Discoveries, Lessons, and Surprises
Remarkable memories have been made in the process of generating this website. We, as researchers ourselves, have been appalled by the history of our city treasures. It emphasized the past livelihoods of citizens in our city and it is fascinating to know that the architecture of the Museo ng Muntinlupa has been heavily influenced by this aspect. In harmony, this stunning edifice has garnered recognition from the public, appearing in various news outlets and articles all over the country.
