1) Bernalillo County Rental Assistance :
Offering rental assistance to families who met qualifications. Families must fill out an application as well as provide documentation. The paper applications are available to fill out now online. Online electronic applications will open March 22.

PNM – Utility Bill Assistance – https://www.pnmforwardtogether.com/help. PNM has suspended electric service disconnections for nonpayment for residential and business customers, until further notice. Late fees will be waived for residential and business customers, effective immediately, until further notice.
NM Gas Co.'s HEAT-NM assistance program is administered at Salvation Army:
Salvation Army, 4301 Bryn Mawr Dr. NE (near Montgomery/I-25), allows walk-ins for gas bill assistance Monday through Friday, 9-11 am and 1-3pm. You must wear a mask. Note: The office will be open through December 24 for food boxes and bus passes ($10), but the last day to submit an application for this year’s HEAT-NM assistance is December 18. Applications for 2021 can be submitted starting January 4. You must bring an ID for every household member (birth certificate or Medicaid card for children), 2 months of current/previous gas bills, proof of income (unless no income), proof you applied for LIHEAP unless you are 65 or older. If the gas bill is under another person’s name, you need a copy of their ID and a note from them giving permission for you to seek assistance. Questions? Call 505-872-1171, ext. 1 (Family Services)
PNM has one phone number to call for assistance with PNM bills:
PNM customers can call 855-364-2950 or fill out an application at www.HELPNM.com, and press the “PNM COVID-19 Relief” tab. They will be screened according to income level for household. If they qualify, their application will be submitted for up to 3 different programs, depending on income level and past due amount on the bill. Good Neighbor Fund is one of 3 funds PNM currently offers to assist customers.

Assistance applying for low-income water and solid waste credit is available at Storehouse or Rio Grande Food Project.
Beginning Thursday, December 10, MFA is again accepting applications for housing cost assistance. The assistance will provide qualifying New Mexicans with as much as $1,500 per month for up to three months to pay back rent or mortgage payments and other housing costs.
Applications will be received until funding is expended. Residents who have already received housing cost assistance are not eligible for additional funding for the same time period.
Please note that funding is reserved for New Mexico households earning 80 percent or less of the median income in their area, adjusted for family size. Applicants must also certify that they have suffered a COVID-related financial hardship and that they are currently past due on their rent or mortgage payments.

Rent and utility assistance for Refugee Families
The City of Albuquerque, Lutheran Family Services, Help NM have limited funding to help with rent and utility expenses for refugees who are impacted by COVID. Agencies like the Mortgage Finance Authority will periodically have funding available, but usually there is a designated time when people can apply for services.

Food boxes and toiletries
Through a partnership with MOGRO and other food distribution agency, Lutheran Family Services coordinates weekly food box delivery for refugees who are isolating/quarantining due to COIVD or experiencing food insecurity.
