Track & Field FAQ/Info
Is Track & Field a Cut or Non-Cut Sport?
TrackTrack is a non-cut sport. However, only 3 of the top in each event may compete at the meets. Running and Field qualifying will be held weekly. The top three ( in most cases) will qualify for the week's meet.
Will the same participants go every week?
Each week we will have new time trials and field events for qualifying. We will take the top of that week's practices. When we get to Zone/Meet of Champions, we will take the top 3 qualifiers of the season per event.
When are Practices
Running practice is held during the Athletic Class Periods as part of our Strength & Conditioning.
Field Practice will be held after school for both Boys and Girls from 4:00 - 5:00 PM.
When do Track Meets begin/ When will my Athletes event be?
Field events Begin at 430pm. The 2400m Begins at 4:30. Please see below for a complete rundown of the track meets.
What equipment is given/what do we need to bring?
We will hand out Jerseys and Shorts to those who qualify. We encourage sprinters/hurdlers to wear spikes. Athletes are responsible for their own Cold-Weather Sweats.
