Students will continue to participate in audio/video production focused on pre-production, production, and post-production activities. Students will continue to learn how to produce a news broadcast and student-produced features. Students will gain job-specific training for entry level employment in audio, video, television, and motion picture careers. Professional grade equipment and software will be used in the creation of student lead productions. Students will be involved in every aspect of several class and small group audio, video, and film style production projects with emphasis on TV studio broadcasting and news production projects. AV students will also be encouraged to participate as studio crew for district productions outside of school hours. This course allows students the opportunity to produce live sports broadcasts and sports studio shows. Students work behind and in front of the camera, in production and on-air roles, which include play-by-play announcer, color analyst, sideline reporter, and studio show host and analyst. In this class, students will be exposed to a variety of social media platforms; however, students are not required to maintain personal social media accounts in order to participate in the class.
