Mr. Clark
Middle School Science - 2023/2024
Welcome!
I am very excited to begin this school year and I hope you are as well.
While this year will look very different from your prior experiences with school, I am confident that together we will be successful.
There will be new challenges that we will have to face, but by working together and keeping a positive attitude, challenges become learning opportunities.
I know we will have a year full of unique learning and new experiences.

Materials:
The following materials are advised for all science students...
3-Ring Binder - can be a single or multiple subject binder as long as science work can be organized separately, worksheets and other hand-outs can be three-hole punched to fit within this binder
Loose Leaf Paper - paper to work on/with
"Trapper" Folder - for work which isn't three-hole punched
Pencils, Pens, Highlighters - No. 2 / #2 pencils, and an assortment of a few different marking pens and highlighters is recommended for color coding, making corrections, and general organizational use in class
Bound / Spiral Notebook - this will serve as our Science Journal, this can be a stand alone item, but it is recommended that it has a three-hole format so it easily accompanies the 3-Ring Binder and doesn't get misplaced
General Procedure(s):
Canvas will be one method utilized to administer work, in addition to classroom / lab materials.
Assignments will be posted via Canvas / OneNote.
PowerSchool will be used to track student's academic progress.
Classroom norms, laboratory procedures, and school safety is paramount.
