I am so excited to be your math teacher this year! I am a firm believer in keeping a strong, open line of communication between home and school. If you ever need to contact me, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Daily Routine:
It is very important to understand the daily routine of the classroom in order to be productive throughout the class period. The following is what a typical day will be like in our classroom:
Sit in your assigned seat and copy homework in your agenda from the front board.
Open Canvas, the Weekly Agenda (found on the Canvas Homepage) and the Desmos lesson for the day on your Chromebook.
Once these three tabs are open, begin working on the Warm-up, which will be the first few slides in Desmos.
As a class, we will review your responses to the Warm-up. You will be able to correct your work and ask questions.
Begin the lesson for the day.
Make sure you understand what the homework is before leaving class and clean your workspace for the incoming class.
Extra Help:
I am available for extra help any day after school except Tuesdays. This is by appointment only from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm. If you would like to schedule a time to meet with me, please send me an email at agraff@southingtonschools.org. Be sure to come with specific questions/concerns. Please do not wait until the day before a test or quiz to seek help if you are confused.
Homework:
Homework will be assigned weekly on Mondays or Tuesdays and are due on Fridays at the beginning of class. You can find homework on the board, Weekly Agenda or this website on the Homework Calendar. If you find your homework is too difficult, you must SHOW ME WHAT YOU HAVE TRIED in order to receive credit. A blank piece of paper is not proof of your attempts. Homework will not be graded, but will be logged for completion (school-wide policy). It is my expectation that you will do your homework when it is assigned and reach out to me with any questions.
