Have you ever wondered what it is like as a teacher? I had the pleasure of interviewing Mrs. Long on October 11th of 2021 in her room. I asked her questions about being a teacher. I chose her because I thought it would be an interesting interview. Mrs. Long has been teaching for twenty five years total and eight years here. She likes being a teacher because she likes to help and see kids grow and learn.
Today you will learn about grandparents day, a day for grandparents and kids. I got all the classes to tell me what they did. First we had preschool. They read poems and sang songs. Then they went to the football field and ate lunch. Next, we have kindergarten. They went to the park and ate lunch. Then they got to play around the park. Next is first grade. They went to the park and ate some food. They also got to play around. The next grade was second. They went to the library, ate donuts and practiced words. The second to last is third grade. They played board games and reader theater. Then, they ate lunch. Last, the fourth grade ate lunch and interviewed their grandparents. Now we have what Mrs. Mendenhall said she,
“Loved how much fun the kids were having and how they interacted with their grandparents.” Thank you for reading.
The Elementary honored 9/11 in many different ways. Some classes did a drawing or wrote papers about it. There are many ways you can honor September 11th. It is very important to learn about 9/11 because it is a part of history. 6th Grade had a gallery walk around the classroom about the events that took place on September 11th. If you walked around the school that week you would have seen many displays reflecting September 11th.

The green team in the Mighty Mo, Football League are currently 6/0 in the football league currently undefeated. In second place is the grey team and they are 4/2. Both are good teams in this flag football league. Mighty Mo started this year because they were seeing a need for more sports and activity. Amanda Fansher, one of the members, said that she didn’t join Mighty Mo, Football because it was her favorite sport. It was because she saw the need in more sports and activities. She has also played flag football. She would play as a kid every summer.
