Drive Up Food Distribution in Butler County

Reservations will not be required; guests will be served on a first come first serve basis. All guests will complete a short registration process onsite. You can also register onsite at distributions to serve as a proxy to pick up food for a neighbor, family member, or friend. Each household will need to complete an annual self-declaration of need form to receive food. There is no required proof of eligibility and anyone is eligible for food. Your information will only be used to provide you food and help us improve your service.

Fresh Bucks Program

The Fresh Bucks Program is a partnership between Community Partnership, Butler City Farmers’ Market and ANR Transportation. It allows income eligible individuals to receive $150 worth of coupons to be spent at the market and will also provide transportation from and to the market.

USDA National Hunger Hotline

The USDA National Hunger Hotline remains a helpful resource for people seeking food assistance. The hotline, operated by Hunger Free America, can be reached Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET. at 1-866-3-HUNGRY (1-866-348-6479) or 1-877-8-HAMBRE (1-877-842-6273) (for Spanish).

Student Meals

School Lunch Program

Families can apply for free or reduced price meals at any time.  If you financial situation has changed due to the pandemic, you can reapply as well.  

Children can be enrolled in the school lunch program by submitting information about their total household incomes online at https://www.schoolcafe.com

USDA Meals for Kids Site Finder

The Meals for Kids Site Finder was developed by USDA Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) to help children, parents, and others quickly and easily find summer meal sites near them. The site finder, available for use at no charge, is a web-based application that also works on tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices without the need to download.

The mapping tool allows users to enter an address, city, state or zip code to find up to 50 nearby locations, along with their addresses, hours of operation, and contact information, and directions.  

Data, provided by states, will be updated throughout the summer to include new locations. To report incorrect data, please contact your state agency.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

All households with children who were receiving free or reduced price meals at school before their school closed are now eligible to receive cash benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), even if they were not receiving SNAP previously. States currently are developing procedures to provide those benefits through Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards. Every state has to develop its own procedures to implement this new (temporary) SNAP rule. It has been recommended to check your state's SNAP website regularly for information on how to receive those benefits.  More information:

Meals for those ages 60+

The Butler County Agency on Aging can provide boxed meals, which include 5 frozen, heart-healthy and low-sodium meals to any individual over age 60 who is in need. Call their office at 724-282-3008 to sign up.

Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church

Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church has a Food Cupboard; Anyone in need of food can call the church at (724) 352-2888 to set up a time to come in.

St. Vincent de Paul

Food Bank is well-stocked and ready to serve all in need. Please share the message to anyone that may need extra assistance. Groceries can be picked up Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-10:00 am.

Alert: For anyone who is in need of groceries and cannot pick-up Mon-Fri from 8:30-10:00, please call the SVDP office @ 724-287-3994 and pick option #2. 

Starting Wednesday, March 25, we’ll be operating a strictly drive-through only system. Everyone should enter off of Monroe St and will receive groceries directly to their trunk.
