The University of South Alabama’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics has partnered with Mathematical Puzzle Programs to bring fun mathematical events to its campus in beautiful Mobile, AL. Students participating in MaPP events will solve puzzles, break codes, and engage with new areas of real mathematics used in academia and industry!
This year's theme...
Our players have fun, learn about their host campus, and strengthen their mathematical identities by demystifying the work of living mathematicians as not so abstract or complex as it might seem at first glance!
Remember, the Challenge is a game, not a competition! We warmly invite you to bring any of your interested students, whether they consider themselves "mathletes" or simply enjoy games and puzzles. Check out MaPP's website to learn more!
This year we are partnering with Bishop State Community College! The game will be held on their Downtown Campus (351 North Broad Street), headquartered in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center.
