Early Childhood Music

Mini-Maestros is an opportunity for students to learn through play! 

As students participate, they will develop musical, literacy, and social skills such as:

1. Musical Exploration: Introduce and acculturate children to various tonalties, meters, patterns and styles of music through movement, singing and piano. 

2. Rhythm and Movement: Develop coordination and rhythm through movement and dance.

3. Creativity and Expression: Encourage self-expression through musical activities and performance.

4. Listening Skills: Enhance listening skills and auditory response.

5. Social Interaction: Promote social skills through group activities and cooperative play.

6. Sensory Integration: Address sensory sensitivities with adaptive activities.

7. Routine and Predictability: Establish a consistent schedule to provide a sense of security.

8. Emotional Regulation: Use music as a tool for self-regulation and expression.

• We ensure all instruments are age-appropriate and safe.

• We include a variety of activities to cater to different learning styles and abilities.

• We are mindful of noise levels to avoid overwhelming sensitive children.

Learning is a collaborative and shared activity! We believe that everyone learns best when their community is involved, which is why we provide resources and instructions for learning at home.
