Sound Studies is the dream of owner and lead teacher, Andi Burton Gomez. They worked in a multitude of learning environments and always envisioned a space where curiosity, passion, and information could be shared as a two-way exchange in a community of learning.
Along with their husband Andres, they began by teaching private piano lessons and tutoring out of their house, and soon afterwards, the number of students grew rapidly prompting us to move into our beautiful studio.
With the help of their friend and fellow teacher Tal Konderla we hope to enrich the lives of our community with education.
Sound Studies is run with the lived experiences of our owners, employees, and students in mind and a true passion for serving these and other marginalized communities. Our studio will continue to strive to be a well educated, inclusive, and warm place for all.
Our students and teachers are given freedom to learn and teach in creative ways. While we give technical instruction, our hope is to adapt to our students learning styles and teach them a deeper appreciation and understanding of our subjects.
