We’re excited to announce that Sound Logic is developing its very own Sync Library, with plans to officially launch by the end of this year!
During our soft launch in 2024, we successfully secured 7 sync placements for our clients across film, television, and digital media. These early wins confirmed the value of creating a dedicated Sound Logic catalog—a centralized library of pre-cleared music ready for licensing opportunities.
If you are interested in having your music considered for inclusion in the Sound Logic Sync Library, please reach out via email at info@soundlogic.legal.

Sound Logic x Artillery Creative Industry Event and Strategic Initiatives
Written By: Brenda Freitas, Journalist
Reinforcing its commitment to supporting artists and professionals in the entertainment industry, Sound Logic, a company specializing in providing legal and creative solutions for creatives since 2022, has been expanding its reach and creating new opportunities for the field.
A recent highlight was the event held in March in the heart of Newark, New Jersey, in partnership with Artillery Creative, led by Livingston Steele. The gathering brought together professionals from the music and film sectors, as well as artists, producers, journalists, entrepreneurs, representatives of major companies, and creators. The event provided a welcoming space for enriching discussions and idea exchanges, with a strong focus on networking and collaboration among participants. Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a performance by Portuguese comedian André de Freitas and a set by local DJ Kaydonna, which rounded out the experience.
According to Ashton Monteiro, Founder and Managing Partner at Sound Logic, the motivation behind the event is a commitment to strengthening the local artistic community, especially in times of economic uncertainty and technological disruption. “This makes it more important than ever for artists to establish strong, local networks that foster collaboration and opportunity” he stated.
The choice of location was no coincidence. While most major industry events take place in New York, Newark is home to a vibrant artistic community that, according to Monteiro, deserves greater recognition. “Our objective is to create a recurring, high-caliber industry event that puts Newark on the map as a destination for entertainment professionals. We aim to encourage NYC-based industry figures to come out to Newark, thereby expanding opportunities for the incredible talent based here,” he explained.
In addition, the event aimed to connect local talent with major film productions, creating opportunities for musicians, filmmakers, and creative entrepreneurs. One of the core intentions was to bridge the gap between the music and film industries, which often operate in silos. Monteiro believes that collaboration between these two worlds can unlock opportunities such as synchronization deals, publishing agreements, and cross-industry career development for musicians seeking to break into acting, and vice versa.
Another key point highlighted during the gathering was the importance of cultivating a sense of solidarity within the artistic community. “With the rise of artificial intelligence and the increasing consolidation of the industry, it’s essential for artists to come together to protect their rights,” said Monteiro, who also encouraged independent artists and small businesses to participate in political hearings and public assemblies, amplifying their voices and making a meaningful impact on the industry.
Sound Logic also hosted an online workshop, offering creators the opportunity to gain valuable insights into copyright. The course covers Copyright basics and legal principles offering critical knowledge to teach creatives how to protect their rights.
Looking ahead, Sound Logic already has its next steps defined. The company plans to host increasingly larger gatherings, featuring renowned industry professionals, moderated discussion panels, and interactive roundtables. These events will continue to spotlight emerging artists, promoting visibility and creating new opportunities for talent to flourish.
The creation of the Sound Logic Sync Library is also part of the company’s objectives for 2025 and is currently in development. Once the website is live, efforts will focus on promoting the library within the film, publishing, and sync licensing industries.
With an established footprint in New York and New Jersey—Sound Logic is now preparing for international expansion. The company plans to open a new office in Portugal later this year, introducing the sync library to the European market, recruiting artists abroad, and launching a membership program adapted to address regional differences in artistic needs and market conditions. The objective is to create a transatlantic bridge for creatives, generating new opportunities for artists in both North America and Europe.
With a vision to strengthen equity for artists, Sound Logic remains dedicated to promoting opportunities, collaboration, and innovation in the entertainment world.

Earlier this year we hosted our Copyright Workshop for creatives and industry professionals. The goal of the course is to teach the role and significance of Copyrights within the context of the Entertainment industry. We also walk the participants through a step by step guide on how to submit creative works for Copyright Registration.
After each Workshop we provided the participants with a Questionnaire, and the results have informed our decision to offer the Workshop again this Fall and Winter. Here is what our Course participants had to say:
When asked how they would rate the Copyright Workshop, 100% of the participants responded: "Excellent"
Q: What was the most valuable takeaway or topic covered in the Copyright Workshop?
A: REGISTER YOUR COPYRIGHTS (both masters and publishing!)
A: Not only realizing how crucial (as an artist who plans to profit from their intellectual property) copyright protections is but also how many opportunities are missed with lack of knowledge on what can make the most profit as well as how vulnerable the artist is by not taking the necessary measures to protect themselves and their work.
A: The most valuable thing I took away from the workshop was the importance of protecting your art - during and after your lifetime. It was also great to hear this topic, broken down to be very digestible and easy to understand!
Q: Would you recommend this Workshop to a friend or colleague?
Additional Feedback:
I think this class should be mandatory for artists who plan to profit from their creative work. Without copyrights Artists are vulnerable to theft of their creation with no protection. I would take this class again because it was eye opening to understand the difference between what major labels do to protect their dollar verses a small independent who without this knowledge would never realize their true potential. The course material was explained in a way that was easy to understand and ignite a “call to action” to protect intellectual property.
