A Preamble to a Waldorf Education Teacher Training

Now with Rolling Admissions & Early Start Option

There is now a way to begin your Waldorf teacher training journey at any point in the year. While the program remains cohort-based—with the first in-person intensive beginning in Summer 2027—students who wish to begin early can get a head start through our new Introduction to Waldorf Education course.

Offered once per month on online, this introductory seminar is designed for both Grades and Early Childhood students awaiting the next summer start date. Together, we will explore foundational texts, beginning with Martyn Rawson's Steiner Waldorf Pedagogy in Schools: A Critical Introduction, while engaging in lively discussion of fieldwork experiences and individual questions. Fieldwork observations and individual advising may also begin at any time of the year, at no extra cost, so you arrive at your first summer intensive with percepts and concepts already in hand.

Whether you are ready to dive in now or simply curious about what Waldorf teacher training entails, this is your invitation to begin. The tuition agreement for this introductory portion rolls directly into your total program tuition.

Daniel Packer studied philosophy at Tufts University and the evolution of consciousness at the California Institute of Integral Studies, tracing the metamorphoses of cultural world-conceptions throughout history. He discovered a love for teaching and has since worked intensively with Rudolf Steiner's educational indications as a grades class teacher, high school humanities teacher, and mentor at Waldorf schools. He trained at the Center for Anthroposophy, helped found an experimental high school program prioritizing living thinking, and has developed further capacities through training in eurythmy. For the past several years, he has taught courses on the pedagogical and anthroposophical foundations of Waldorf education at Sound Circle while mentoring local schools.
