To be considered as an NHS applicant, students must:

• Be a junior or senior

• Maintain a 3.85 weighted GPA or higher

• Complete 20 community service hours that benefit the community at large 

  • • These 20 hours MUST be completed BEFORE applications are due (9/18/25) 

    • Note: Upon acceptance, an additional 20 hours must be completed to maintain membership. 

    • See Community Service Guidelines for more information

•  Be an active, long-standing member (at least 1/2 year membership) of TWO Souderton Area High School clubs or sports

• Respond to the community service question

• Submission of Dues-  $20 payable by cash or check to SAHS included with the application. This will be paid one time and includes an NHS t-shirt and cords/stoles for graduation. 

** Payment does NOT guarantee acceptance and will be refunded should the other requirements not be met. **

To maintain eligibility as an NHS member, students must:

• Complete 20 additional hours of community service for the 2025-2026 school year  

• Attend mandatory NHS Meetings (occur on a monthly basis)

• Attempt to participate in NHS sponsored events

• Maintain a 3.85 weighted GPA or higher
