For Shortlisted Applicants

You will be tasked to watch a video synced to a piece of music, and to respond to questions provided. 

No prior knowledge is required for this class.

You will undergo a creative performance exercise.

You will also be given hands-on exercise with SOTA faculty members, which culminates in a short performance at the end of the class.

The exercise will include improvising in a group, creating a new melody and writing in any form of notation.

No preparation is required.

Come with an open mind and be ready for the audition. 

The panelists are looking for musicianship, talent, and an ability to learn. 

An interview with a group of candidates and a panel of teachers. An opportunity to get to know one another better.

No preparations are required.
