For Shortlisted Applicants

You will be tasked to watch a video synced to a piece of music, and to respond to questions provided.

No prior knowledge is required for this class.

You will undergo a creative performance exercise.

You will also be given a 90-minute hands-on exercise with SOTA Music Faculty members, which culminates in a short performance at the end of the class.

The exercise will include improvising in a group, creating a new melody and writing in any form of notation.

No preparation is required.

You will participate in a 10-minute interview with SOTA Music Faculty members.

You must be able to speak about your motivations, how you have prepared for the audition, and other interesting points that you would like to share with the panelists.

You must also be able to discuss and share about the two original compositions that you have submitted.

You will be grouped with other applicants and participate in conversations with the panel comprising the school’s Key Personnel.

No preparations are required.
