Using only the materials provided, design and conduct a technique for increasing the temperature of the water in your can.
Part II: Whiteboard
The water in your soup can contains heat energy that it did not initially have. On your whiteboard, creatively diagram and explain where the energy in your soup can originated from.
Design and conduct an experiment that quantitatively compares the energy, in calories, of one nut to the energy in calories, of one Cheeto. Collect your data carefully and take multiple pictures. Share your results as a team here and share slides with "ramsey.musallam@sonomaacademy.org".
Watch the below video. What is happening? What is needed for it to happen?
Part II: Experiment
Using the materials provided (Yeast, test tubes, plastic wrap, misc. types of food) design and conduct an experiment to learn more about about how Yeast produce energy. (HINT: When yeast produce energy they also produce carbon dioxide gas). Your experiment must include the following, which you will share with the class.
Research Question
Control variables (words and pictures)
Independent Variables (words and pictures)
Dependent Variables (quantitative dat and pictures)
