When: Saturday, November 9th | Where: UC Davis -Russell Field
Special Olympics Northern California Health & Wellness is dedicated to supporting the overall well-being of athletes and their families—both on and off the field. We partner with healthcare professionals, fitness experts and local universities to provide free year-round programs and resources catered specifically to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Health & Wellness also tackles the disparities faced by people with intellectual disabilities in the healthcare system by engaging our athletes and advocating within hospitals, government organizations, universities and more.
Whether it’s free health screenings, inclusive fitness seasons, virtual programs, diet and nutrition education, or social and behavioral activities, we’re here to help all athletes be the healthiest version of themselves.
All competing teams are invited to go through Performance Stations at Fall Games!
Performance Stations are timed game-based activities that show the importance of nutrition, hydration, hygiene, gameday mindset, and self-pledges in a fun and exciting way.
Coaches, please check your team under the Health & Wellness tent at your allotted time. Once teams check-in, they will complete the activities in 30 minutes. Please plan for your team to be at Performance Stations for the full 30 minutes.
Teams will be led through the Performance Station activities by volunteers from California Northstate University - College of Dental Medicine, UC Davis MIND Institute, and UC Davis - Department of Nutrition.
