SOMSD III TIMELINE:  2026-27 SY

• Incoming Kindergarten Students

  • December-February: Sibling verification process began for Pre-K.

  • February: Preschool reviews and gives a final list of all enrolled pre-k4 students.  Any new additions will be communicated on an ongoing basis. 

  • March 16: Registration provides a list of newly enrolled kindergarten students.

  • March 23: Special Education receives the list.

  • Week of April 6: The Intentional Integration team finalizes the list.

  • April 13: Final list sent to Alves group.

  • May 4: Alves group returns the reviewed list to the Intentional Integration team.

  • Mid-May (tentatively May 18 May 25): Kindergarten letters are distributed to parents/guardians.

• Newly Enrolled Students in Grades 1st - 5th

  • April 27:  Registration provides a list of newly enrolled First - Fifth grade students.

  • May 4: Integration information provided to Special Education.

  • May 11: Special Education returns updated information to the Intentional Integration team.

  • May 12-15: The Intentional Integration team reviews the list.

  • May 18: Finalized list sent to Alves group.

  • June 8: Reviewed list returned from Alves group.

  • June 15-18: Final review conducted.

  • June (tentatively June 22): Integration information sent to parents/guardians.
