Directions: Just like for Steps 1-10, how you decide to present your information, create, or take notes is your choice! Some people use conventional art materials like paint, markers, glue, etc...and others use digital tools, and unconventional materials like recyclables, etc... For notes, feel free to take photos and put it all together in a google doc, slideshow, notebook, or poster. Make sure that all of the components (Observation, Research, Art-making, and Connection) are together. There are 3 Steps below.
Your work must be APPROPRIATE (artistically) and COMPLETE!
Estimated Total: 1 hour 20 min
For example, Mrs. Stewart (that's me!) loves the "Sublime" theme in art history. Learn more here: https://www.arthistoryproject.com/subjects/the-sublime/
Step 12: Create! I’d like for you to make something this summer. It can be out of any material (medium) you like. I would like for it to represent one of your favorite themes or use your favorite art media in Art History.
There is no size requirement. Follow the rubric.
Estimated: 1-2 hours
This is one of my photographs using the theme of "Sublime"
Step 13: Reflect and write.
What is your favorite theme or medium in Art History?
What were your intentions when making your artwork?
Which theme/media did you use? Why?
