About Mr. Ortega

About Me:

Born and raised in Miami, I am proud to call South Florida home. I am a proud University of Miami Hurricane alumnus and Florida International University Panther alumnus—Go Canes and Go Panthers!

My educational journey includes an Associate in Arts & Sciences, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and International Business, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Childhood Development.

I have been happily married for over 22 years and am passionate about giving back to and serving my community. Education has always been more than a career for me—it is a passion and an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

I believe students learn best when they have opportunities to explore, create, collaborate, and solve real-world problems. Through problem-based learning and hands-on experiences, I strive to help students connect what they learn in the classroom to the world around them.

My goal is to create a learning environment where creativity, curiosity, leadership, and problem-solving are encouraged. I want students to discover their strengths, reach their full potential, and develop the confidence to take their knowledge beyond the classroom.

Most importantly, I want to make learning fun, meaningful, and exciting while helping students discover their passions and become the leaders of tomorrow.
