Superintendent's Message

Hello Spartan Family!

Welcome to the 2023 Referendum Website!  I hope you find the information within this website valuable as the Board of Education has developed a plan for bringing one referendum question to the community on April 4, 2023.  Your voice and input is crucial as we invest in our children and community.

The Mission of the Somerset Schools is:

“Together we Engage, Educate, & Empower all learners; Bridging their passions to pathways to create successful futures and positively contribute to our local communities”

In order to fulfill our mission and our commitments to our students, employees, and community, we feel it is necessary to develop a plan to go to our voters and to ask for additional financial support.  We believe this support is due to district "needs", not wants.  We need to ensure that each and every student in the Somerset School District has access to adequate facilities so their academic and extra curricular experience sets them up for success post-graduation.  We want Somerset to be a destination district since families now have so many options in terms of where their child attends school.  We look forward to bringing you accurate and up to date information regarding the proposed referendum via this website.
