Jainism is one of the world's oldest religions, dating back at least 2,500 years and originating in India. The spiritual objective of Jainism is to free oneself from the unending cycle of rebirth and achieve moksha, or enlightenment. This religion gives importance to the principle of non-violence.
The essence of his teachings for good conduct is contained in the Five Great Vows (Pancha Mahavratas) and the Three Jewels (Tri-ratna).
