The Sisters of Our Lady of La Salette (SNDS) is found in the Diocese of Grenoble, France. Its founding event is the apparition of the Virgin Mary to two little children, Melanie age 14, and Maximin age 11, on September 19, 1846, on the mountain of La Salette, Corp, France. The spirituality and charism of the congregation is Reconciliation. Our Lady mandates the two children – “ Go, and make my message known to all my people.”

The San Jose Investment and Realty Corporation through Mrs. Rosario Bundoc, owner of the subdivision donated a parcel land with an area of twenty thousand square meters (20,000 sq.m) to the Sisters of Our Lady of La Salette for the purpose of establishing a Catholic school.

In June 1986 the School of Our Lady of La Salette started its operation with twenty-four (24) enrollees in the Kinder I and II classes. They were housed in a small-unfinished concrete building a few meters away from the Sisters’ house. The first school building with five (5) rooms was constructed. The Kindergarten class was transferred to the new site.

In June 18, 1986 official representatives from the Ministry of Education and Culture, (MEC) visited the school, and the same year in June 24, 1986, MEC gave the permit #.E-041S1986 for the school to operate with an official title SCHOOL OF OUR LADY OF LA SALETTE. In the ensuing years the school had progressed and in the early 90’s a three-story building was built. School of Our Lady of La Salette (SOLS) at present offers complete curriculum for Kindergarten , Elementary, Junior High School and Senior High School. The Pre-Elementary Education obtained its Recognition on January 6, 1987. Grades 1 - 6 recognition was given on December 12, 1991. The Secondary Department. was recognized on August 14, 1995 and the Senior High School Department was recognized on the ______________.

A Tribute to Our Lady of La Salette

Jubilee Year 2000, a Facsimile of the Apparition of Our Lady of La Salette was constructed in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary at La Salette. The construction of the facsimile was made possible with the help of friends, benefactors and parents of the Sisters of Our Lady of La Salette.

At present the facsimile offers a place for prayer and solitude for students of the school and for all who have a special devotion to the Virgin Mary of La Salette.
