There are tens of thousands of AI tools out there, and the number keeps growing as you read this. Trying to keep up with them all is impossible and will likely cause you to head back to the overhead projector. I've saved you the time and aggravation of wading through them all to find what you need. The tools I select offer you the 'best bang for the buck' by allowing you to accomplish many tasks using just a few tools, rather than finding a different tool for each job. Think of these as your AI Swiss army knives.
In November of 2022, OpenAi introduced a free product called ChatGPT (Generative Pre-Trained Transformer) which provided ANYONE access to a simple AI tool that allows them to have a personal assistant capable of performing numerous tasks. In education, we have seen teachers use ChatGPT (and other tools) to create:
Lesson Plans
Student Assessments
IEPs
Rubrics
Email correspondence
Utilizing these tools to complete tasks like these can help teachers be more efficient, and free up time to do more desirable activities. This site will introduce you to ways that you can do this too!
