Kiyoshi Izumi graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1993, received his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in 1998, and worked at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) from 1998 to 2010. He has been Associate Professor at the Department of Systems Innovation, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo since 2010, and Professor since 2015. He is interested in financial informatics, market simulation, and financial data mining, and is a member of IEEE, the Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence, the Information Processing Society of Japan, and the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers.
