Media Center
Our Mission
The mission of the Social Circle Elementary School Media Center is to foster the love of reading for both pleasure and information by ensuring all our patrons have access to the resources needed to support their interests and learning.
Our Goals:
1) We will foster the love of reading by developing an extensive and diverse collection of print and non-print resources.
2) We will provide all patrons with equal access to needed resources, both digital and non-digital, by ensuring our Media Center is equipped with materials and technologies that are up-to-date and well-maintained.
3) We will support the acquisition of skills needed to be a successful citizen in the 21st century. These skills include the 4 C's of collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking in addition to the traditional academic content skills.
4) We will maintain a fun, safe, and nurturing learning space available for large groups, small groups, and individuals. The Media Center will use flexible scheduling to help ensure the needs of all patrons can be met.
