Career Technical Instruction
Career & Technical Instruction (CTI) is a specialized support program designed to assist high school students with disabilities who are enrolled in Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) career pathway courses. CTI provides individualized support to help students succeed in their CTAE classes while also preparing them for a successful transition from high school to postsecondary education, training, employment, and independent adulthood.
Through career exploration, work-based learning, leadership development, employability skills training, community experiences, and cultural opportunities, CTI helps students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for future success. CTI also collaborates with the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA), community partners, and service providers to connect students with valuable resources, programs, and transition services.
The goal of CTI is to promote student engagement, reduce dropout rates, encourage participation in career and technical pathways, and support a smooth transition to positive postsecondary outcomes.
