VIDEO GAME ARCADE

VIDEO GAME EXTRA CREDIT

I give extra credit points is for playing old nintendo games from the 1980's and 1990's

  • I grew up playing original NES and super nintendo (SNES) games

      • to test your sanity, and to let you see the grandparents of current video games, you can play old games in class to earn extra credit points

          • go to this website to see the games, levels, awards...

              • when you complete a milestone, let me know so I can verify and add the points below

          • go to this website to see your progress

RULES FOR EARNING EXTRA POINTS PLAYING VIDEO GAMES

  • You have to have all your work done for the day before you can play (can also play for fun...just let me know)

  • certain games have certain levels and point values.. (will update this by end of August)

      • if you beat the certain level / boss before the end of class, you get the points :-)

          • I created a way to save your progress...

SAVING YOUR PROGRESS

  • click on "profiles", and click on your name (screen will go blank and then go back to the list of names) (you are now logged in)

  • go to your game of choice and play...

      • when you want to save your progress after a level, use this shortcut (select button + right trigger)

      • when you want to start from your last saved state, use this shortcut (select button + left trigger)

      • when you are in a game and want to go back to the list of games, use this shortcut (select + start buttons)

CONFIRMING YOUR PROGRESS

  • once you reach a milestone, come get me so I can record it in the google sheet

HOW TO USE YOUR EXTRA CREDIT POINTS

  • access your points total here (same link as above)

      • you can use them on any missing assignments or grades that are less than 100% (no tests)

OTHER EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS

  • I will create other extra credit assignments, and I will list them on our class google calendar...

      • if you complete them by the due date, send me an email with the subject line "your name, assignment title", link or attach your assignment, and tell me what assignment you want the points used on

          • example "randy norman, hdmi podcast"

              • once I get the email, I will grade it, and add the points to the assignment you mentioned

              • if you don't send me the email, I won't know you completed it so you wont get the points
