EL Monitoring Calendar

This Calendar is the calendar that has been approved by ADE and lists when different aspects of out EL program must be implemented as well as detailing when EL forms must be completed and turned in.

ILLP Forms

This section gives teachers access to all of the ILLP forms that the state requires. Both PDF and MS word versions of most of these forms are available. Most teachers with EL Students only need to use Attachment A and Attachment B.

ILLP Cover Sheet

The ILLP Cover sheet is filled out by the EL coordinator. It includes the students demographic information, including the students SSID number required for attachment A and B. It also includes a snapshot of the students AZELLA scores for the last three years and the AZELLA dates (this is needed for attachment A). This forma also gives an overview of AZ laws and the requirements of for the completion of Attachment A and B. The second page of the ILLP cover requires signatures from site administrators, the classroom/ELA teacher, the parent, and the EL coordinator.

Attachment A

Attachment A is where the classroom teacher works with the EL coordinator to document the plan on how the EL students Language instruction will be met in the classroom. ADE requires this form to be updated quarterly, and asks that each of the five domains have four to five Performance Indicators identified. There are three ways in which Attachment A can be Updated According to ADE

1. Replace a performance indicator to increase the complexity of the skill (i.e use the same PI but increase the proficiency level)
2. Replace a Performance Indicator to identify a new skill focus (e.i choose an entirely different PI to focus on because the student has mastered the previous one)
3. Replace a Performance Indicator due to content changes in the curriculum.

Attachment B

Attachment B is where classroom teachers record their findings and observations during the quarter and make recommendations to help the student be more successful in the following quarter. This is a brief progress report, usually only a paragraph or two, and should include any pertinent test result, examples from class work or teacher observations. This report must be completed quarterly.

Two Year Monitoring Forms

The Two year Monitoring Form should be updated quarterly by core content teachers. This form allows us to monitor the progress of the EL and to address the students needs. This form is locked. you will need to create a copy to edit.

ELP Standards from ADE

These are the PDF documents from ADE's Website. There is one document per each of the five stages (each stage covers a range of grade levels). Each document is an extensive table that contains four domains (Grammar and Vocabulary are found in the last domain)that are then broken down into standards, and performance indicators.
