Our approach is based on proven research; that children's best learning experiences come from actively designing, creating, interacting, and inventing.
Snapology Austin offers a variety of activities designed to reinforce the curriculum you are working on. Our programs can be customized to fit your objectives.
Our flexible curriculum allows our teachers to adapt to the needs of each group of students while allowing children to progress and explore at their own pace.
STEAM Small-Group
Direct Instruction Program
Available at our Discovery Center or at your site.
Best for a single class, grade level or age and smaller groups, this format focuses on a specific theme or objective. Complete program must be a minimum of 2 instructional hours.
Our staff will collaborate with your teachers to customize a theme that complements your curriculum or we can choose a fun theme to introduce something new!
Our direct instruction themes fall into the following categories: Creative STEAM, Robotics, Engineering. Within each category we have several topics to choose from, appropriate for kids from kindergarten through middle school.
Small group direct instruction will include:
Two experienced Snapology Austin facilitators. All facilitators are background checked and have all required screenings to work with children ages 4+.
60 Minute LEGO robotics instruction and hands-on activity for up to 20 children per group. Snapology Austin will provide the technology and robotics kit and will facilitate the lesson and support the children from start to finish. Children will work in groups of two to complete the activity.
Each group will use a kit and laptop or tablet to build a model that includes a motor, pulleys, and gears, and program that model to move. As the children complete the activity they will have creative play with our bricks and Minifigures.

STEAM Large-Group
Quad-Based Program
Only available at your site.
For sessions that will have multiple grades or ages at the same time and for larger groups. You must have at least 40 students and book for a minimum of 2 instructional-hours.
Students work in groups of 4 (quads) where they participate in age-appropriate building challenges. These STEAM challenges inspire students to use teamwork, problem solving, and communication to reach a given goal.
You will need to provide a large room, like a gym or cafeteria, with multiple tables. Each group will have the opportunity to expand their STEAM knowledge as they rotate through our interactive activity stations. The session is directed by Snapology staff, and children are assisted by your staff. Please note that this option does not include robotics instruction.
The length of the program is determined by the number of students in attendance and the building challenges chosen. In most cases, we schedule a 1-2 hour session for each group of 50-100 students.
