What happens after I complete my application?
1. Make sure your application was submitted successfully
Once you submit your FAFSA or CADAA, check your email for a confirmation letter and summary.
If there are no issues, your application should be processed within a week. You can log back into your FAFSA or CADAA application to make corrections or add more schools!
2. Check on your state financial aid with WebGrants 4 Students
Create a WebGrants 4 Students account to view and manage your state financial aid awards such as the Cal Grant and Middle Class Scholarship.
3. Check your email for important updates
Review your inbox (and spam folder) frequently for updates such as requests for additional documents or notifications from colleges about important next steps!
Once you have received a financial aid award letter from more than one college, use this worksheet to compare costs.
While cost alone should not determine which college you choose, this worksheet will help you compare financial aid packages side-by-side and determine what out-of-pocket expenses you may have to pay.
