Enrichment Program
Welcome to the Carrillo Elementary PTO After School Enrichment Program! Our program is a mix of classes offered by vetted outside providers, and Carrillo Elementary staff members. These classes are designed to be a fun opportunity for students to explore their interests, make new friends, and get exercise in a safe and friendly environment. Classes take place immediately after dismissal each day and run for an hour. Please scroll down to find the current schedule, class descriptions, and enrollment information below, and click here for more detailed program policies. 8 week sessions run throughout the school year, with registration for each session opening approximately two weeks in advance.

4Love of the Game Sports is offering a wide variety of fun sports and fitness classes every day of the week to get our students moving!
549 Sports is happy to offer a fun, high-energy basketball class! Their mission is to empower children with confidence through sports. Every participating student gets a 549 t-shirt!

Arts and Crafts with Mrs. Ari!
Unleash your imagination and creativity! Dive into a world of artistic exploration with a supportive and fun environment where you can experiment with a range of techniques and projects. From printmaking and tie-dye to painting, mixed media, fiber arts, and more— all materials provided.
This creative class will take place on Mondays from 3:10-4:10, and is open to students in grades 1-5. The cost is $150 per session.
Untold Storyland: An 8-Week Storytelling Adventure for Students!
Could your child be the next J.K. Rowling? In our 8-week "Untold Storyland" program, students will develop essential storytelling skills including powerful narrative construction, character development, story structure, and creating vivid details and settings. They'll transform their wildest dreams and fantasies into stories that come alive on paper and on stage!
**FOR GRADES 2-5 ONLY**
In this exciting 8-week program, students will:
Craft characters as memorable as Harry Potter
Build immersive worlds that leap from imagination to reality
Develop the confidence to bring their unique stories to life
Learn public speaking skills that captivate audiences

Sew Awesome! Learn to Sew with Ms. Duke!
Do you have patience, determination, and a good attitude? Then this class is for you! Come spend time with friends as you practice your sewing skills. You will be amazed with what you can create! Sewing is not a lost art if we keep passing it on!
Grades 4-5, Tues. 3:10-4:10, $145
Yogi Starz - Yoga for all levels with Ms. R!
Yogi Starz is for all levels who want to learn and practice yoga poses and sequences. The class will help kids channel positive energy and a place to practice mindfulness, strength, balance, and breathing techniques. Each class includes yoga and movement infused with fun props, music, and games!
Grades K-5, Tuesdays 3:10-4:10, $145
Art and Reading Club with Ms. McCoy!
Each week, students will enjoy a picture book with a lesson about the art style of the illustrator. With that inspiration in mind, they will have access to a wide variety of art supplies and be encouraged to set their creativity free as we make crafts to match the books! Art and craft styles will include watercolor painting, sculpture with air-dry clay, chalk art, collage, textiles, and more!

Sing and Act with Ms. Deauville!
In this exciting, musical theatre-inspired class, students will build their self-confidence while cultivating a love for singing, acting, and entertaining!
Grades 1-5, Weds. 2:10-3:10, $145
Makerspace with Mrs. Amies!
Students will be encouraged to flex their STEAM skills as they build, create, and problem-solve with our fabulous STEM teacher, Mrs. Amies!

Track and Field with Ms. B!
Are you excited for the District Track Meet? Learn the skills for success with Ms. B! Practice the basics of track and field, beat your personal best times, and set new goals in this fun, fast-paced class!

Board Gamers Squad with Ms. R!
Gamers will learn a variety of competitive and cooperative board games like dominos, chess, cards, and so many more. All players are welcome from beginner to experienced as we rotate through many games. Get ready for FUN gaming!

Learn the basics of digital photography and photo editing with this fun class, led by our Carrillo PE teacher Ms. B and Carlsbad art teacher Ms. Nicole!
