Enrichment Program
Welcome to the Carrillo Elementary PTO After School Enrichment Program! Our program is a mix of classes offered by vetted outside providers, and Carrillo Elementary staff members. These classes are designed to be a fun opportunity for students to explore their interests, make new friends, and get exercise in a safe and friendly environment. Classes take place immediately after dismissal each day and run for an hour. Please scroll down to find the current schedule, class descriptions, and enrollment information below, and click here for more detailed program policies. 8 week sessions run throughout the school year, with registration for each session opening approximately two weeks in advance.

4Love of the Game Sports is offering a wide variety of fun sports and fitness classes every day of the week to get our students moving!
549 Sports is happy to offer a fun, high-energy basketball class! Their mission is to empower children with confidence through sports. Every participating student gets a 549 t-shirt!

Arts and Crafts with Mrs. Ari!
Unleash your imagination and creativity! Dive into a world of artistic exploration with a supportive and fun environment where you can experiment with a range of techniques and projects. From printmaking and tie-dye to painting, mixed media, fiber arts, and more— all materials provided.
This creative class will take place on Mondays from 3:10-4:10, and is open to students in grades 2-5. The cost is $150 per session.
Sing and Speak Spanish offers fun and accessible language classes for grades K-5. These classes run year-round, and are taught with singing, puppets, engaging workbooks, games, and skits to improve retention and make learning Spanish fun and exciting.

Photography, Yoga, Art and Reading Club, Musical Theater,
Track and Field, Oodles of Doodles, Sew Awesome! Intro to Sewing, Board Gamers Squad, and Makerspace!
Sew Awesome! Learn to Sew with Ms. Duke!
Do you dream of designing and sewing your own clothes some day? Wish you had the skills to make your own stuffies? Do you have determination, patience, and a great attitude? Then this is the class for you! Learn the basics of sewing in this fun introductory class. You will learn basic hand stitching techniques while working on simple but adorable sewing projects. Sewing is not a lost art if we keep passing it on!

Yogi Starz - Yoga for all levels with Ms. R!
Yogi Starz is for all levels who want to learn and practice yoga poses and sequences. The class will help kids channel positive energy and a place to practice mindfulness, strength, balance, and breathing techniques. Each class includes yoga and movement infused with fun props, music, and games!

Art and Reading Club with Ms. McCoy!
Each week, students will enjoy a picture book with a lesson about the art style of the illustrator. With that inspiration in mind, they will have access to a wide variety of art supplies and be encouraged to set their creativity free as we make crafts to match the books! Art and craft styles will include watercolor painting, sculpture with air-dry clay, chalk art, collage, textiles, and more!

Sing and Act with Ms. Deauville!
In this exciting, musical theatre-inspired class, students will build their self-confidence while cultivating a love for singing, acting, and entertaining!

Makerspace with Mrs. Amies!
Students will be encouraged to flex their STEAM skills as they build, create, and problem-solve with our fabulous STEM teacher, Mrs. Amies!

Are you excited for the District Track Meet? Learn the skills for success with Ms. B! Practice the basics of track and field, beat your personal best times, and set new goals in this fun, fast-paced class!

Board Gamers Squad with Ms. R!
Gamers will learn a variety of competitive and cooperative board games like dominos, chess, cards, and so many more. All players are welcome from beginner to experienced as we rotate through many games. Get ready for FUN gaming!

Oodles of Doodles with Mrs. Okerson!
Do you love to doodle? Are the backs of your papers always covered with artwork? Do you want to know the secret of how to make your handwriting look fun and fancy? Then this class is for you! Join Carrillo 1st grade teacher Mrs. Okerson as she teaches the basics of making fun and creative doodles and drawings, hand lettering, and calligraphy. Lessons are accessible to beginners and project themes coordinate with the seasons!
