Welcome to the Carrillo Elementary PTO After School Enrichment Program! Our program is a mix of classes offered by vetted outside providers, and Carrillo Elementary staff members. These classes are designed to be a fun opportunity for students to explore their interests, make new friends, and get exercise in a safe and friendly environment. Classes take place immediately after dismissal each day and run for an hour. Please scroll down to find the current schedule, class descriptions, and enrollment information below, and click here for more detailed program policies. 8 week sessions run throughout the school year, with registration for each session opening approximately two weeks in advance.

2025-2026 Enrichment Session Dates:
Session 1: 9 weeks, week of August 25 through week of October 27.
Session 2: 8 weeks, week of November 3 through week of January 19.
Session 3: 9 weeks, week of January 26 through week of March 23.
Session 4: 8 weeks, week of April 6 through week of May 25.
4Love of the Game Sports is offering a wide variety of fun sports and fitness classes every day of the week to get our students moving!
549 Sports is happy to offer a fun, high-energy basketball class! Their mission is to empower children with confidence through sports. Every participating student gets a 549 t-shirt!

Arts and Crafts with Mrs. Ari!
Unleash your imagination and creativity! Dive into a world of artistic exploration with a supportive and fun environment where you can experiment with a range of techniques and projects. From printmaking and tie-dye to painting, mixed media, fiber arts, and more— all materials provided.
This creative class will take place on Wednesdays from 2:10-3:10, and is open to students in grades 1-5. The cost is $150 per session.

Untold Storyland: Where kids build confidence through creativity!
In this fun, play-filled program, kids dream up adventures, draw colorful characters, and share their stories out loud. Through writing, drawing, and public speaking, they’ll boost self-esteem, spark imagination, and practice real-life communication skills—all while having a blast! We welcome all kids in grades 1 to 5!
Because every child has a story worth telling… and the courage to tell it.

Sing and Speak Spanish is Back at Carrillo!
Each class is year round and consists of about 30 hours of instruction. Learning a foreign language is fun for kids if they succeed at it. Ours is a fast-paced class where boring repetition is replaced by a variety of humorous activities that engage all the senses. We have funny visuals, songs, gestures, interactive puppetry, and all sorts of games and activities. Our philosophy is to engage ALL the students ALL of the time.
Mondays: 3:10-4:10pm, Grades 2-5, Room 42
Wednesdays: 2:10-3:10pm, Grades K-1, Room 42

This project-based enrichment class takes one song (per session) from a beloved musical and teaches the students how to sing, dance, and act their way through that number! Students who enjoy this kind of work get more exposure to great stories and songs, and boost their confidence, collaboration, and overall preparedness for auditioning for full plays and musicals. We also include some light tech details.

This club is all about moving and grooving. After a warm up, stretch, and learning some key footwork, we will team together to be inspired by popular dance trends, (KPOP, crew hop, shuffling, and more) while learning new steps and combining strings of movement to create our own combos to dance to and have fun together. We will always use age-appropriate songs and styles.

Each week, students will enjoy a picture book with a lesson about the art style of the illustrator. With that inspiration in mind, they will have access to a wide variety of art supplies and be encouraged to set their creativity free as we make crafts to match the books! Art and craft styles will include watercolor painting, sculpture with air-dry clay, chalk art, collage, textiles, and more!

Are you excited for the District Track Meet? Learn the skills for success with Ms. Nicole! Practice the basics of track and field, beat your personal best times, and set new goals in this fun, fast-paced class! Our PE teacher Ms. B will be assisting in the second half of the class!

Join us for screen-free Minecraft activities and inspiration. This club will explore all the things that make playing Minecraft so great, and get our minds ready to plan our awesome builds for the weekend! Drafting paper, guidebooks, 3D modeling, collaboration, and more activities will ensure we come home with plenty of ideas to build our own fun.
