Covid-19 Protocol

How are we Staying Safe?

Saint Mary's is committed to providing our students with the best educational theatre experience we can give them during these trying times. We are fortunate enough to be able to do productions in the Page Theatre almost like we intended them to be. We want to thank our students for committing to following safety procedures so that we can continue to do what we love. Due to safety concerns, we have implemented protocols to ensure that everyone involved in the production stays safe and healthy.

Covid-19 Protocols

  • Anyone experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or anyone exposed to an individual who tested positive will not be allowed to participate. They will be asked to get tested and quarantine until the test results come back. We have made a list of people who can fill in crew positions if a member of the crew needs to quarantine. If a cast member needs to quarantine, they will virtually participate in the rehearsals via Zoom.

  • All individuals in the department are required to be fully vaccinated.

  • All cast members are required to wear face shields for the entirety of the rehearsals and performances. Only the owner of the face shield is allowed to touch it, and each actor is responsible for sanitizing their own face shield. We have chosen face shields instead of masks so facial expressions can be seen while still remaining safe.

  • All crew members are required to wear masks and gloves for the entirety of the performances.

  • All props and set pieces are to be sanitized as soon as they come offstage and before someone else touches them. No one is to touch props or set pieces without gloves, except the actors while they are onstage. Immediately after exiting the stage, actors are to sanitize their hands. Costume pieces will be cleaned daily as well.

  • The live audience is limited to 87 people. Anyone can attend the performance, but they must register through the Google Form found on our homepage. Those invited will be required to RSVP to ensure we only have 87 people in attendance. Every three seats are marked with a "Sit Here" sticker with every other row remaining empty. Every audience member must be wearing a mask for the duration of the show.
