Tech Club is back! Grade 5 students dissecting old computers for circuit parts in science class.
Tech Skills...
We follow the Archdiocese of Philadelphia curriculum guidelines for Kindergarten through Grade 8. Topics include keyboarding, digital citizenship, general computer knowledge and navigation, word processing, online research, databases and spreadsheets, multimedia presentations, digital design, Stem-Steam-Stream applications, and my personal favorite, computer programming.
Beyond the computer lab...
Students are provided 1:1 devices with Chromebooks in grades 3-8 and (soon) iPads for grades K-2.
Wifi is safe and secure at school and even protects students at home through Cisco Umbrella Security.
Teachers are issued state-of-the-art laptops for remote and in-person learning.
Classrooms are equipped with touch screen projection boards.
No Internet? No problem!
St Mary School enjoys on-site tech support and technology troubleshooting.
We don't just fix issues. We help students learn how to safely troubleshoot issues and help each other too.
Some students help their teachers, parents, and siblings. A select group have gone on to run the school network at LaSalle High School.
