“Peek Into Brighter Tomorrow-Investments & Scholarships Perspective”

The Department of Accountancy & Financial Management and Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college had organized a session on “Peek Into Brighter Tomorrow-Investments & Scholarships Perspective” on 22nd of May, 2021 at 3:00 pm. Dr. Liji Santosh-Vice Principal of the College, Prof. Ashish Navik and Prof. Preeti Matharu – Faculties of the College were the resource persons. Dr. Liji Santosh shared the minute details of the Scholarship options available for students perceiving or who wish to perceive the higher education in Foreign Countries. Prof. Preeti Matahru and Prof. Ashish Navik shared the information on Investment options available in India and the returns that can be expected from those investments.

The session was attended by 235 participants and they found the session very helpful and relevant.

Session was successful as it helped participants to get the insight of market scenario and funding options for higher education in Foreign Countries.

Financial Education Awareness Programme”

The Department of Accountancy & Financial Management and Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college had organized a session on “Financial Education Awareness Programme” for global money week in association with Securities & Exchange Board of India on 24th March, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Dr. Riya Nathani, SEBI Resource Person was the Key Note Speaker. She explained and demonstrated the minute details of the Securities Market and cleared all the queries that she came across during the session. The session was attended by 85 students of the college and students were quite participative during the session which was also appreciated by the resource person Dr. Riya Nathani.

Session was successful as it helped students to learn something beyond the books and having practical relevance.

Income Tax Return Filing

Department of Accountancy and Financial Management organised this online intercollegiate workshop on Income Tax Return Filing to enable participants to file their own ITR returns. The event had taken place at 5:00 pm. The event started with the Welcome address by Principal Dr. Sridhara Shetty, followed by inauguration and addressing of audience by Chairman of Powai Education Committee Shri CA Shankar B. Shetty. Prof. Preeti Matharu did the compering for the workshop. The vote of thanks was given by Vice Principal and head of Department of Accountancy and Financial Management Prof. Sandesha Shetty.

The session was practically conducted and very well explained by the resource persons. Various queries were also answered to the satisfaction of the participants. A google form was created for taking the feedback of the participants. Around 167 participants attended the workshop. The video of the workshop is also uploaded on Youtube for further reference.

“Student Development Program On Mutual Fund & Financial Markets”

The Department of Accountancy & Financial Management and Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college had organized a session on “Student Development Program On Mutual Fund & Financial Markets” in association with Bombay Stock Exchange on 12th & 13th of April, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Dr. Aditya Srinivas was the resource person from B.S.E., he explained and demonstrated the minute details of the Mutual Funds & Financial Market and cleared all the queries that he came across during the session. During these two days students got an insight of the mutual fund market and financial markets, they also got to know the dos and don’ts of the market.

The session was attended by 158 students of the college and students were quite participative during the session which was also appreciated by the resource person Dr. Aditya Srinivas.

Session was successful as it helped students to learn something beyond the books and having practical relevance.

Inauguration of Accountancy Association & Guidance session on Career as Chartered Accountant or Company Secretary

Inauguration of Accountancy Association & Guidance session on Career as Chartered Accountant or Company Secretary was organized by the Department. It was held on 8th December 2020 through Online mode (Zoom platform). Students from BAF, BBI, BCOM and BMS have registered and in total we had 100 participants who attended the session.

FYBCOM ORIENTATION SESSION

Department welcomed the 233 participants, comprising parents and teachers, amongst others. Our principal, Dr. Sridhara Shetty then opened the meeting by addressing the students with words of wisdom, our vice principals, the department faculty, our librarian, counsellor and some other faculty members of our institution. He spoke about how there's no such thing as employability in India for someone who is employable. Setting expectations for the students to engage in the college through academics and extracurricular activities, He assured the support of the college to students from various walks of life.

FINMON 2020-2021

The Department of Accountancy & Financial Management of the college had organized departmental fest name “Finmon- 2021- make money manageable” on 19th & 20th of March, 2021 from 3:00 pm., to 6:00 pm. 134 Students from 20 colleges have participated in different competitions.

Logo Transcription

It was an Event conducted Online on 19th March, 2021, in which the Participants were needed to create the Logo of their Dream Company and to explain about the same in few words. Participants were required to submit their Artwork through Google Form. The Judge for the Event was Mr. Sourav Chanda.

Overall 16 Participants have participated in the Event.

All the Participants were provided with a Participation Certificate.

There were 4 Winners to whom we have provided a Certificate of Merit.

Caricature

It was conducted On-line on 20th March, 2021, in which the participants had to make caricature with the theme of “Budget”. Participants were required to submit their Artwork through Google Form. The Judge for the Event was Mr. Sourav Chanda.

All the Participants were provided with a Participation Certificate.

There were 3 Winners to whom we have provided a Certificate of Merit.

“Quizzes''

The Event Quiz was conducted on 19th March 2021. It was a Live Event conducted on Zoom Application over “Quizzes'' Application for which Three Rounds and 3 Sets of Questions were prepared. Round 1 consisted of 10 Questions of Accounts, Finance and Tax. Round 2 consisted of 12 Questions of Accounts, Finance and Tax. Round 3 consisted of 15 Questions of Accounts, Finance and Tax. All the Participants were allowed to appear in Round I and II. The qualified Participants were allowed for Final Round III. The Quizzes Application is automated to present with Winning Contestants Name, Points, Bar Graph and a brief Report

LUDO

The Event Ludo was conducted on 20th March 2021. It was a Live Event conducted on Ludo Application for which Whatsapp Group of 4 Participants in each group was created. A total of 28 Groups were created for all Ludo Participants.

The event began as per schedule at 11:00 AM. The participants were divided in a way so as to have 4 contestants in One whatsapp Group. The winners of Round I from each group were qualified for Round II.

All the Participants were provided with a Participation Certificate.

There Were 7 Winners To Whom We have provided a Certificate of Merit.

PROJECT- Pitch Your Business Plan

The Event Project- Pitch your Business Plan was conducted on 19th March 2021. It was a Live Event conducted over Zoom Application for which the Participants had to prepare a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) explaining their Business Idea. The Judges for the Event were Miss Jasjyot Kaur and Miss Fiona.

The event began with an Introduction of our Judges. It was scheduled for 3:00 PM and winded up by 4:00 PM. The participants presented their PPT. Post which the Judges had a Question-Answer Round. The participants were given a sum of Amount on which they had to allocate their Budget.

All the Participants were provided with a Participation Certificate.

The Winning Team consisted of 4 Members in a Group and were provided with Certificate of Merit.

DEBATE

The Debate was conducted on 20th March 2021. It was a Live Event conducted over Zoom Application for which the Participants were provided with the topic On the Spot and they were allotted 10 Minutes for Thinking. The Camera & Mic were on for real time interaction. The Judge for the event was Mr. Armand D'costa

The event began with an Introduction of our Judge.

All the Participants were provided with a Participation Certificate.

There Were 6 Winners and were provided with Certificate of Merit.
