8th GRADE CORE COURSES
All students will be enrolled in standard core classes (math, science, social studies, English Language Arts).
Math placements are based upon testing data, current class progress and staff review.
In addition to standard classes, students may qualify for additional support classes (such as SEEK, Math Workshop, Reading Foundations, Reading Explorations). These will be determined by data and staff review.
Students enrolled in advanced course and year long electives are expected to remain in those classes the entire school year.

Advanced Courses available for 8th graders are:
Advanced English, Advanced Social Studies and Advanced Science
In addition to all 7th grade electives, 8th graders are also eligible to take the following electives if applicable pre-requisites have been met in their 7th grade year:
Spanish 2, French 2, Band 2, Orchestra 2, Chorus 2
Exploring Sewing Technology, Projects in Industrial Technology, Cadet Teaching Program
